Microcurrent is a pain-free weight loss therapy using electrolipolysis (introduced to the UK in 1998), which does not rely on muscle stimulation and by contrast is very comfortable and relaxing. The cell structure remains intact and as fat is removed the fat cells simply become smaller thus avoiding the odd appearance sometimes found after liposuction. During treatment, specific patterns of micro-currents work at a cellular level to break down triglycerides into free fatty acids and water, which are then carried away by the lymphatic system and metabolised for excretion.
